Hiya All!

We’ve been noticeably absent from the blog. Sorry about that, but it has been for good reason.

We’ve been blessed with a lot of work and all kinds of new opportunities! God is good!!

We also want to welcome our new Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint customers!

Fall is on the way!

We finally got a little rain, and we can smell Fall in the air! At Cotton and Clover, we are busy sewing with thoughts of hayrides, pumpkins and colored leaves in our heads.

But before Fall completely takes over, we wanted to show you how your summer dresses can swing into cooler weather with a little creative layering. Think boots and jean jackets, ballerina flats and long sleeved tees!

We’d love to invite you to attend some creative classes at our store! We are starting to list scheduled classes on our facebook page and we’d love for you to hop over and join in the fun. Please see our facebook note on class policies. If you have a class you are wanting to take, let us know. We will schedule it and see if we can get a full class going. We love your ideas and suggestions!

Our next class we will be posting about is the flower appliqued pillow… All you will need to do is bring the pillow you want covered and your sewing machine if you have one. We will show you how to do the rest. All other materials will be provided.

We have a couple spots left in our flower appliqued canvas class for Tuesday, August 7. Let us know quickly if you are interested and we will save you a spot!

Fork and Talk with EKSuccess and Craft Gossip!!!

We are like most like minded crafters… one craft is never enough. We love to do many other crafts in our free time (insert snickering sound at free time) and we’ve got to try EVERYTHING at least a few times. With that in mind, you can imagine how thrilled we were to be invited to the 2nd Fork and Talk bloggers meetup event sponsored by EKSuccess and craftgossip.com. These two know how to throw a crafty party! Just as last time, EKSuccess went overboard with the goody bags…

Here’s a sampling of the crafty loot that was inside that huge goody bag!

We were able to do a few crafty things there after our delicious lunch from Trio’s. Look at this adorable coaster and coffee sleeve kit from Dimensions… I haven’t started my coffee sleeve but I was able to finish my coaster while we were visiting. This would be the perfect kit to take on the go. I can never sit still so this is great to throw in my purse and take with me. All you need to complete it is a pair of scissors. All the other items are included in the kit.

Kim and I were lucky enough to sit at Scarlett’s table! She’s the quilting editor at craft gossip and we just love her. Until recently, she lived here in Fort Smith and we sure do miss her. It was great to catch up with this super talented and fun gal. Check out the craft we did with her here. It was a ton of fun.

Not pictured are the awesome scrapbook paper pads we received. Kim has a project in mind for those and we can’t wait to show you what and how she does it!
